We here at Cosmetic Social Media are so honored to have won this award for our social media services on behalf of the San Diego Crew Classic. The Crew Classic is our community service client – so 100% free. We especially want to thank our amazing volunteers on this special project, Barbara Beran, John Ramsey, and Julia Ramsey (yes, they are related, wink!). Their lightening-fast fingers tweeted and posted up a storm, creating a spark and energy that was a fabulous addition to the 40th Anniversary Regatta.
And if you don’t know much about the San Diego Crew Classic, it is an incredible San Diego event. If you are lucky enough to live nearby, be sure to check it out next April 5 & 6, 2014 on beautiful Mission Bay. They have over 4,400 rowers and over 25,000 attendees during the weekend event. They are going into their 41st year of highlighting the best collegiate, juniors, and masters rowers in the country.
The San Diego Crew Classic is definitely living up to its name as America’s Premier Spring Regatta, now online as well as on the water.
Sorry, dear readers, but I have been busy and neglected you (all 2 of you…LOL). So, what might be more important than blogging here? Well… here is an update (condensed version):
WON the 2010 #influenceSD award for Best Social Media in Business category for my work with La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre’s social media campaign. For more info, click here: http://influencesd.com/winners/
Attended the 2010 Annual Meeting of ASAPS (The American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) in Washington, DC. I met some wonderful physicians, made a few great business connections, and picked up a client or two. Only Regret: didn’t have time to sight see at all… next time!! Highlight: Attended a Baltimore Orioles home game vs NY Yankees (Orioles won!) AND I got a photo with the big stuffed orange bird!). Also made time to drive over to see Charm City Cakes… for you fellow Food Network junkies – they were filming inside so I couldn’t see in — but took a few photos and have a wicked awesome crab cake at The Dizz (formerly Dizzy Izzy’s) next door. Oh… and I bought Charm City Cakes t-shirts for the family.
While browsing my @LJCSC Twitter mentions today, I had a nice surprise! The Facebook Fan Page I manage for La Jolla Cosmetic Surgery Centre has been named in the AP (AlertPresence) website’s Top 5 medical practice fan pages! WOOT!
One of the things that has been most fulfilling about doing this fan page is seeing the patient interactions with the posts. They really get into it and give such terrific kudos to the doctors and staff. It has been a blast getting the fan base built up- and we’re up to 779 fans so far!
